There are many walks in and around Leicestershire; the county has many beautiful green areas and amazing panoramic views across the rolling countryside. A lot of the mapped routes include natural history, local heritage, and just 'show me the way' type walks. All are of a circular nature, but vary in terms of length and difficulty.
A short and interesting walk is the popular 'Anstey Hedges', which is 2.5 Miles / 4 KM round trip. The great thing about Leicestershire countryside is the various pubs dotted all over, so for this particular walk, pop into the Hare and Hound for a refreshment after a good hike.
