The Bennie Museum is located in Bathgate, West Lothian and was opened in 1989. The museum tells the story of Bathgate's history and life and is run entirely by volunteers under the management of a Charitable Trust. The museum organises public lectures on specific subjects twice a year.
Special exhibitions are displayed on a regular basis, covering subjects as diverse as the annual Newlands Day Procession, local anniversaries, and subjects of general interest, such as toys.
Admission is free and the museum is open almost every day of the year, 10am to 4pm from April to September and 11am to 3.30pm from October to March. Special openings can be arranged for parties booking in advance.
