Leicester Fosse Football club was formed in the spring of 1884 by a group of old Wyggestonians and members of the Bible class at the church on Parks Street, it was when football had started to establish across the country.
The football league started in 1888 and a number of regional leagues sprang up to act as proving grounds for ambitious clubs across the land. The stadium comes alive when a match is played, with the teams dedicated supporters songs and chants are sung throughout.
The club house can be hired out for private function and banqueting and has two bars on the premises for drinks after the match.
