The impressive fifteenth century Raglan Castle built by Sir William ap Thomas and his son William Herbert, stands proud in the heart of Monmouthshire. William Somerset, third earl of Worcester, re modelled the castle.
Although demolition attempts were made during the civil war, much of the magnificent hexagonal-shaped Great Tower and lavish suites of state apartments still survived. The Castle also offers parking, toilets, guidebooks, a on site shop and a site exhibition.
