Practised by Cheralyn Bell, Heavenly Star Acupuncture provides acupuncture treatments that have been a part of Chinese Medicine used o diagnose and treat within a wide framework of health care for over 2,500 years.

In acupuncture, fine needles are sensitively inserted into a number of pre-prescribed areas that allow the acupuncturist to influence energy (Qi) within the body, re-establishing equilibrium and addressing the complaint.

Cheralyn has been a practiced nurse since 1988 in which time she has become a registered mental nurse, gained inspiration through travels of India, Thailand and specifically China, practised in Hong Kong and Australia and worked in the first NHS Chinese Medicine Clinic.

She then went on to take a three and a half year, Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Westminster. I continue to work as a senior nurse within the NHS, while practicing acupuncture privately.

Further Information: Cheralyn Bell has worked as an acupuncturist for Southwark Council, Southwark Social Services, The South London and Maudsley Hospital, the Strategic Health Authority and the Mental Health Charity MIND. Cheralyn presented seminars on TCM at the Institute of Psychiatry and Lewisham Carers Group. She also has a special interest in women's health and emotional problems and is fully insured to practice acupuncture by the Royal College of Nursing.
