Cramond Angling Club promotes fishing on river Almond, at a very affordable price. The Club's website offers everything you need to know about fishing on River Almond.
The River Almond is located about 4 miles to the North West of Edinburgh city centre, and offers around 3 miles of single (mix left and right) bank fishing. There is a good access to the river, with a car park being right on the river bank, and bus routes are just minutes away.
Normal methods of angling including fly fishing and spinning, are the most common tactics used on the Almond. Main species are brown trout and sea trout. Salmon have also been caught although in small numbers. Catch and release especially for salmon is highly recommended. Please refer to the Cramond Angling Club website for information regarding rules and permits.
