Hickinbotham Winery made its beginnings in 1988 when the Dromana property was discovered. In true Hickinbotham practice, the focus was on cool climate grape production, planting as many as 26 small vineyards across Mornington Peninsula. The Hickinbotham Family have been at the head of Australian wine production for three generations since the early 1920's.
The Hickinbotham cellar door is completely re-cycled and renovated. Every part of its structure has been salvaged from the Mornington surrounds. The wrought iron work is from the old Melbourne Steamship building and the bar is the counter from the State Bank of Malvern. This gives visitors a feeling of character and an unrivalled ambience.
With friendly and helpful staff in every facet of the Hickinbotham Winery, everyone is certain to enjoy their time, be it sampling wines at the Cellar Door, discovering local artists at the gallery or being served scrumptious foods at the restaurant. Hickinbotham has something for everyone.
