Located beside Edinburgh Castle, The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre offers a fascinating, interactive tour all about the history about the origins of malt whisky distilling in Scotland.

Suitable for the whole family, tour guests will enjoy a "wee dram" of Scotch for the over 18s or a soft drink and helium balloons for the kids. The tour explains how scotch is made, why the taste varies from one region to another, the history and the characters who contributed to the development of whisky in Scotland. You can take a whiskey barrel ride and even meet the resident ghost!

After the tour, enjoy a bite to eat in the Amber Restaurant, winner of the highest accolade "gold award" from the discerning palates of critics of the Edinburgh Restaurateurs Association.
