Dalhousie Falconry provide falconry services and opportunities for handling magnificent birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls and eagles. The service is located in the grounds of the Dalhousie Castle Hotel and Spa , a 700 year old castle set in beautiful countryside , 7 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.

Enjoy the unqique opportunity to experience up close the breath taking agility and speed of a falcon, and the splendor of the biggest and formidable of all the birds of prey - the majestic eagle. Whether it be for an experienced falconer, a beginner, a corporate day, a school visit, a gift, a special occasion (such as a wedding) or just for fun, Dalhousie Falconry can provide you with an unforgettable bird of prey experience.

Falconry demonstrations or handling sessions, hands-on training and falconry tuition are available by prior arrangement only. Experienced, professional falconers conduct the sessions, and all equipment and training is provided.

Further Information: As part of the unique packages we offer, we can provide something very different for your wedding day. For something wholly different, why not have a bird of prey deliver the rings at the ceremony? We have trained our birds to fly with a pouch (containing the rings) to the groom when commanded. This will not only astound yourselves but your wedding guests as well as the bird soars above their heads to the groom!
