Murrayfield Ice Rink is located in the heart of the famous City of Edinburgh and is the largest permanently seated indoor arena stadium in Scotland. The Rink has been a centre of attraction in Scotland for all types of ice sports and exhibitions for over 50 years and attendance comes from all age groups and walks of life.
Murrayfield Ice Rink offers learn to skate sessions with free tuition from resident qualified coaches, a variety of sessions to meet all levels of ability, a safe friendly environment for all ages, particularly youngsters, a skate shop, cloak room and locker facilities, a cafeteria and vending machines providing snacks and hot drinks and a great day out for the whole family.
The most important sporting event played at Murrayfield is Ice Hockey. Matches take place most Sundays and the occasional Saturday evening during the season that runs from September through to April. The normal seating capacity is in excess of 3,500 and the Olympic sized ice surface measures 200ft x 97ft.
