    Heron Island is a true coral cay, located right on the Great Barrier Reef. The island is ribboned by sugar white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of brilliant coral with beautifully coloured marine life - a real nature lover's paradise.

    Heron Island offers many activities such as guided island and reef walks, semi-submersible cruises and beach picnics. An amazing array of animal and bird life can also be discovered right throughout the year. Heron is world famous for its scuba diving and snorkelling with more than 20 dive sites available, half of which are only 15 minutes from the beach.

    The nightly tariff includes breakfast, buffet lunch and 3 course or buffet dinner plus kids stay and eat free!

    Qantas flies to Gladstone via Brisbane from all capital cities. At Gladstone, you have a choice of transfer options to get to Heron Island.

    This was a wonderful relaxing holiday. The reef was unbelievable and the wildlife was so abundant. The night life wasn't really great but we were here to experience the reef. Having it all around you was so wonderful ... Read More (Date of experience: Nov, 2009 )

    I found that my 7 day stay at this island was absolutely brilliant... their is lots of bird life and when you come 2 meters away from a shark or swim over a wild sting ray, the adrenaline is great, along with being able to tall people about your closeness with dangerous animals ... Read More
