Founded in 1930, Addington Palace Golf Club, is a members golf club, situated 2 miles outside of Croydon in Surrey. The Course, 6404 yards, par 71, SSS 71, was designed by J.H.Taylor in 1930, and is well known for its variety of demanding holes through wooded glades and picturesque parkland.
The course is set in the grounds of Addington Palace, the previous home of Archbishops of Canterbury. The clubhouse set around an attractive courtyard with full bar and catering facilities, was originally the stableyard for the Palace.
The clubhouse lounge bar is a place where golfers and guests can relax after their round in a slightly more formal atmosphere. The original beamed ceilings of the stables and hayloft have been retained. The lounge leads to a balcony, which overlooks the course.
The restaurant has a capacity for 80, usually seated around tables of eight. It is an ideal function room, catering for business and private functions, including weddings. The club sells a good range of quality beers, lagers, and spirits, and maintains an extensive wine list. Throughout the bar and lounge areas, golfers and parties alike can enjoy quality cuisine and beverages throughout the day.
