The Lady Denman Museum gallery was opened by Olympian Dawn Fraser on the 3rd of December 1988. The museum focuses on the history of Jervis Bay and the surrounding area, Aboriginal history, early exploration, the timber industry lighthouse history, coastal shipping, shipwrecks whaling history and Naval base history.

The Lady Denman Complex is a perfect place to visit for an educational excursion for all levels of learning. Because of the broad scope of areas presented, teachers can develop a days excursion based on a variety of different learning areas. The most prominent of all exhibitions include: The original Lady Denman Ferry that is housed and being restored in the Museum. The three major collections, a Koori Coast, a European collection and Maritime collection. A Grand Boat Shed on the edge of the Fish Pond displaying old boat building methods which were part of the history of Huskisson. The Museum shop has a large variety of souvenirs to remind you of your visit.
