Blairquhan Castle is one of the finest Regency castles in Scotland, built for Sir David Hunter Blair, 3rd Baronet in 1821 - 1824, on the site of a previous castle dating back to 1346. It was designed by the famous Scottish architect William Burn. The castle still contains all the original furnishings, and has been discreetly modernised to provide modern luxuries while maintaining the historic ambiance.
The Castle is set on 2000 acres of woodlands with an idyllic garden of about 500 acres, which was planted from 1800 onwards. The Castle itself is available for exclusive rental for weddings, conferences, private parties and garden tours.
Up to 26 guests can stay in luxurious rooms in the Castle itself. In addition, there are nine charming holiday cottages in the castle grounds, which are available for rent all year round.
