Chough's Nest is a Victorian cliff top retreat built by a Dutch millionaire in the late 19th Century. The house features high ceilings, typical of the period, and spectacular views out to sea.

The well-appointed rooms with sea-views are all ensuite and include colour television, hospitality tray and big fluffy towels. You can enjoy breakfast with the sun rising over the Countisbury headland, or a traditional Devonshire tea on the lovely terrace.

The dining room, boasts miles of unsurpassed views and is an ideal setting to enjoy their freshly prepared meals and fine wines.

Local Area: The local area is steeped in history, literature and captivating scenery, and many return year after year to enjoy the grandeur and hospitality of Exmoor National Park. The world famous Cliff Railway joins the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. For the more intrepid there is the winding footpath, which meanders down to the harbour. Visit the 'Valley of Rocks' with it magnificent rock formations is just a short walk along the rugged coast. Chough's Nest is an ideal base for the walker and cyclist alike, and the wealth of paths and trails, well earn this corner of England the sobriquet of Little Switzerland.
