Delfryn is a beautiful traditional stone cottage, double fronted semi detached stone cottage. Which formed a 19th century woollen mill and manager's house, powered by an over-shot wheel from the adjacent Afon Felin. Both converted in the early 1920's and recently modernised for your comfort.

The property has two large bedrooms and has a smaller bedroom suitable for a child or small adult. The lounge facing the front of the house has a three-piece suite and coal fireplace with electric fire, and also Sky digital TV. Similarly the dining room has an old fireplace and mantelpiece and built in china cupboard.

The property, which can sleep up to five people, has recently undergone significant renovations and provides comfort throughout. The front entrance leads into a hallway, which provides access to the lounge, dining room, kitchen and pantry. The modern fitted kitchen at the rear includes everything you could wish for and the kitchen door leads out onto a small courtyard with steps leading up to an elevated rear field, with views of bay and castle.

As a family, we have visited Newport many times over the years, and have never come across Delfryn before. Having said that, it is close to the centre of the town and only 10 minutes walk to the beach ... Read More (Date of experience: Aug, 2011 )

We stayed at Delfryn last week and found it to be a lovely, tranquil base from which to explore Pembrokeshire on our motorcycle. The house is set up a small, quiet lane where the main sounds are from the bubbling stream and the crows ... Read More

We found Delfryn Cottage to be an excellent self-catering base. Our visit was in April 2009 and the weather was good throughout our week, but I believe the cottage would have been a comfortable base even during a week of continuous rain! Rooms are large and airy, with plenty of daylight entering the lounge, dining room, and kitchen ... Read More

Delfryn is a lovely place to stay. It is peaceful yet very close to the centre of Newport. We have stayed at the cottage for the past 3 years and there has been improvements to the cottage in that time, including this year a "patio area" which catches the last rays of sunshine a perfect place for a glass of wine ... Not a good experience as we were very disappointed in the property. The description said that significant renovations had taken place recently and we saw no sign of that in the cottage itself. The rear of the cottage had been excavated when we stayed there ... Read More
