Farchynys Hall is a historic country house set in lovely landscaped gardens with views of mountains, river and sea. This charming retreat offers superb accommodation in the wing of a Victorian Manor House.

Farchynys Hall sits on the banks of the Mawddach estuary and in the shadow of the Cader Idris mountain range. As you explore the network of paths and glades around Farchynys Hall you will be intrigued by the magical views. The surrounding area offers some of the finest walking and sightseeing in Britain. Farchynys is to be found in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, one mile west of the village of Bontddu on the A496 Dolgellau to Barmouth road.

Your hosts, Mike and Gretta Ball, would like to extend a very warm Welsh welcome, and invite you to spend a few days of relaxation in an area of astounding beauty.

Farchynys Hall has two self-catering units, the main house sleeping six to eight persons and the studio apartment sleeping two persons.

Getting There: Directions - on the road to Barmouth from Dolgellau, you will pass through the village of Bontddu. One mile further on you will arrive on a straight stretch of road which ends with a sharp right hand bend (with black and white chevron warning signs). Just before this bend, turn down left onto a long straight private driveway which crosses a field. At the end of the 100m driveway, fork left, and you will see a large house with a Victorian conservatory. This is Farchynys Hall, and we will be there to greet you!!
