The Territory Wildlife Park is a diverse sanctuary for all flora and fauna native to the Top End of Australia's Northern Territory. The park is separated into three distinct sections emulating the natural habitat of the varied species. These are wetland, monsoon vine forest and woodland.
Wetland areas on the Park include creeks, springs and lagoons. Wetlands are natural depressions along rivers and floodplains where residual water, providing an abundance of resources for animals and plants.
The Monsoon Vine Forest Walk is an outstanding feature of the Territory Wildlife Park. It is supported by the springs that flow into Berry Creek and this area is traditionally significant to the local Aboriginal people.
Woodland is the most abundant habitat in the Top End of the Northern Territory. You can view some of these animals in the Nocturnal House and through the Woodland walk. You can even take a nighttime tour with a spotlight.
