The location is a large colonial building opposite the Bendigo football ground, officially known as the Queen Elizabeth Oval. The ambience is classic Aussie country pub - the bar, the open fire places, the tables with white linen and dark red paper napkins, give an air of sophistication.
The Pub takes its name from the Bendigo Volunteer Rifle Brigade whose barracks were nearby. The Rifle Brigade Pub Brewery is unusual if not unique in containing its own boutique brewery, whose products have won several awards. Its wine list is extensive, recommended is the Rifle Brigade Cabernet Sauvignon, a mellow brew with just a hint of blackberry.
