Great Keppel Island Holiday Village offers a "true island getaway". Set in lush palm filled gardens just a minute's walk to the beach, the village is an ideal base to experience the relaxed island lifestyle of Great Keppel.

The accommodation is simple and comfortable - ensuite cabins, double/twin rooms, double/twin canvas tents and some tent sites. Families enjoy the 2 self-contained holiday houses. All linen is provided, as well as snorkelling gear to use during your stay.

We offer guided kayak and motorised canoe trips, as well as water taxi dropoffs and pickups to surrounding beaches, islands and excellent snorkelling spots. Or you can spend your day bushwalking, relaxing in hammocks, then wander to the beach to watch the fantastic sunsets at the end of the day. With 17 perfect beaches, great swimming and snorkeling, and bushwalking tracks to explore this mostly uninhabited island, you can definitely get away from the fast pace of daily life.

Getting There: Great Keppel Island lies off the coast of Yeppoon, approximately 45 kms from Rockhampton. Freedom Fast Cat ferries departs from Pier 1 Rosslyn Bay Harbour: Tuesday - 10.30 am; returns 2.00 pm. Wednesday to Sunday departs 9.15 am; returns 3.45 pm. Friday additional service departs at 3.00 pm; returns at 10.00 am. No service on Mondays, except public holidays. Young's Bus Service pickup from airport, bus terminal, QLD Rail and accommodation in Rockhampton and drop off at ferry terminal. Air Capricorn flys direct from Rockhampton Airport to island; book direct on (07) 4927 4355.
