Originally a Coaching Inn dating back to the seventeenth century, this pub has plenty of character. A restaurant and function room was added in 2000 and the current owners have made every effort keep the original warm and friendly feel to this fine establishment.
There is a fine selection of beers, spirits and wines. During the summer months there are five real cask ales for the real beer connoisseur to indulge in, there's something to quench every thirst.
The upstairs restaurant overlooks the pub, like a minstrels' gallery, and here guests choose off the menu or specials board from a range of tempting dishes using the freshest locally sourced ingredients. There is also more dining space in the downstairs games room, which doubles as a function suite. Booking advised at weekends.
