The Red Lion has been at the heart of the Cambridgeshire conservation village of Hinxton since the 16th Century.
The pub has three areas to it, 'the original drinkers bar' which has an open fire, wheel-backed chairs and a comfy leather sofa, the 'informal dining room' which Is just off of the bar and has high-backed upholstered settles and the 'formal dining room' which is in a new extension that has beautiful exposed oak rafters. It also has an extensive lawn garden with a dovecote, pergolas, tables and chairs, and a view of the village church.
The Red Lion is a friendly country pub where you can always expect a warm welcome and the best service. It has featured in the Good Pub Guide and Good Beer Guide for numerous years now (both are non-subscription based publications with entries selected on merit only).
