Whitsunday Doctors Service

The Whitsunday Doctors Service was the first fully accredited practice in the area. The practice originated in Proserpine in 1973. In 1981, the branch surgery in Airlie Beach was opened. This came as a result of the growing population and popularity of the area. As the Whitsunday region has grown, so too has the Whitsunday Doctors Service.

From a two-doctor rural practice, the business has developed into a doctor organization serving both Island and mainland residents, as well as the myriad tourists who visit the region annually.
