Pioneer Women's Hut

Pioneer Women's Hut is a museum situated in Tumbarumba, at the foothills of the beautiful Snowy Mountains.

The museum represents ordinary rural families, especially the women in their everyday lives. The Pioneer Women's Hut opened in 1985 and is a free, self funded museum run by community volunteers. It is these women's policy to collect domestic objects relating to rural families, especially the women and by gathering the stories that put these objects in the context of their lives.
