Local Area: Cobra Guests can visit the great Mt Augustus, 37km from the Inn, one of the most spectacular solitary peaks in the world. It is 1180m high, 8km long and covers an area of 4,795 hectares. The Guinness Book of Records describes it as the biggest 'rock' in the world and is over twice the size of Uluru (Ayers Rock). It is a 2.5km climb to the summit and the same on the way down.
Special Features: West Australias wildflower season, July to November, is one of the countrys most fascinating natural treasures. For several months of each year wildflowers are scattered across the countryside, with more than 12,000 species found. Cobra is a fantastic base to witness this natural phenomenon.
