Millhouse consists of a newly converted barn with adjacent farmhouse, near the old Tiree watermill at Cornaig. The location of Millhouse is ideal, 200m from Loch Bhasapol and a ten minute walk from Cornaig beach.
The original barn, dating back to the early 1900's, has been converted into a light and airy hostel with central heating throughout, accommodation in the hostel comprises two twin/family rooms and two six-bedded dorms. Laundry/drying room, showers etc. There is a large open plan kitchen/living area, opening onto a patio for al fresco eating. In the adjacent newly renovated farmhouse, there are 3x4bed family rooms, 2 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, laundry/drying and outside picnic tables.
There is a wind surfing school and fishing on Loch Bhasapol, and water sports, kayaking, pony trekking and golf nearby. For those interested in bird watching there is a resident RSPB warden on the island. Millhouse is also adjacent to a pilgrimage route linking the ancient chapels of the island Bicycles are available for hire on a daily or weekly basis.
