Acupuncture is one element of traditional Chinese medicine along with herbal medicine and dietary therapy. It developed in China thousands of years ago and has been practised there and all over Asia ever since.
Ian Appleyard graduated with a BSc in Acupuncture from Westminster University in London in 1998 and has since completed further study in Asia. He has now opened his own practice in Kendal, Cumbria and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and has full Medical Malpractice and Public/Products liability Insurance.
Acupuncture is a very flexible form of treatment, it can help people with many medical problems including arthritis, rheumatism, aches/pains back pain and sciatica, headaches and migraines, sprains, sports injuries, neck pain and helps a lot of people who have addictions to smoking, alcohol, food and drugs.
