Arriving in November 2004 a chaotic winter was spent refurbishing the large Victorian house that at that point did not even have any heating installed. It now has full central heating with three rooms for guests (two double rooms and a Family Room with a double and two single beds) all en-suite. All have TV and tea and coffee making facilities

Breakfast is served in the dining room. If you can manage the full English, then you really are set up for the day. (See Menu page and comments in the Visitors Book).

Guests now come from all over the world, some of which have returned to enjoy East Runton again, or is it the Breakfast? Whatever the reason, you will be made most welcome.

Details

Local Area
East Runton is only a small coastal village, but has many facilities. On the High Street are a General Store open until 9.00pm every day, Post Office, a newsagent with Tearoom and evening Bistro, a Butcher, the 'Kitbag' clothing shop, a club, a Greek restaurant (if you fancy some late night dancing after your meal) Why not stay with us to avoid the drive home; many do. There are also two pubs on the main street, the nearest of which is the 'White Horse' opposite, which can be highly recommended for its warm welcome, good food and Cask Marque real ales. The locals are friendly, but don't believe all the local fishermen's tales. In the older part of the village you will find 'Upper and Lower Commons' with duck ponds and flint cottages.
Things to do
The local coastline , an area of outstanding natural beauty, embraces around 400 square miles at the far eastern tip of England, it stretches for 43 miles. The diverse landscape includes wide sandy beaches, pine forests, saltmarshes and mudflats. Cromer and Sheringham have been popular seaside resorts for almost 200 years and offer a relaxed pace of life for those looking for a really laid back holiday. Both towns have a Blue European Flag for their clean beaches and bathing waters. Cromer, only a mile away by road or beach, clifftop Cromer is noted for its pier and crabs, whilst at Sheringham, ride on a steam train to the pretty town of Holt with alleyways full of traditional shops to interest everyone.
