Stryd y Gwynt means "Wind street" in Welsh. The terraced cottage is in a short cul de sac located just outside the walls of the thirteenth century town of Conwy with its impressive castle. The upper gateway and its towers are near the end of Stryd y Gwynt, a very quiet, sunny and secluded location, yet only five minutes walk from the town centre, its shops, historic houses, the 13th Century castle and quayside.

An ideal base from which to explore the beautiful countryside of Snowdonia National Park, and the beaches and resorts of the coast. It is easy to reach by car from the A55, or by train from Conwy station. Sleeping four, it is good for couples or young families, with lots to do nearby.

The communal garden in front is a lovely quiet sunny spot to sit and provides the added advantage that the house is not overlooked. Enjoy a peaceful location close to everything needed for a relaxing, inspiring break!

Car parking
There is parking for one car in front of the cottage - also leave the car and walk the hills close to Conwy, or explore the town, the Marina and the beach. Parking is a great advantage in this compact, historic town. It is also easily accessed by rail from the stations at Llandudno Junction or Conwy, with a rail link from Holyhead or Manchester airport. Recently visitors from abroad have spent enjoyable times using the cottage as a base to visit the attractions of Snowdonia and see family. The cottage owner has a good knowledge of the geography and local history of the area and is able to help with advice about places to visit and things to do. The location in Conwy is ideal for exploring along the coast or into the beautiful mountains of the Snowdonia National Park.
Pet Friendly
One well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. There are lots of good walks to do with your dog from the cottage - either along the quayside or the beach, in the park or even into the open countryside of Conwy mountain and beyond. The price includes heating - by electric storage and other heaters. This makes it a cosy place to return to after walking or driving in the Snowdonia countryside or visiting the sights of the historic town of Conwy or nearby Victorian resort of Llandudno.
