Echuca is 205 km north of Melbourne via the Hume and Northern Highways. Echuca is 96 metres above sea-level in a largely irrigated pastoral and agricultural district.
Things to do: Paddle steamers are still a common site travelling the local waters of the Murray, albeit for purely recreational and nostalgic purposes. The Murray River offers a range of activities for guests to the area including boat cruises, water-skiing, golf, fishing, fine dining, wine tasting and providing a romantic backdrop for the towns, which lie along its banks.
