Jewel Cave is a spectacular natural attraction located 8km from Augusta, and 37km south of Margaret River.

Noted for its incredible formations, such as the longest straw stalactite found in any tourist cave, Jewel Cave takes approx 1hr to stroll through.

Your imagination will come alive as you try to spot features of the cave, which include the organ pipes, giant shawl, friendly ghost, Jedi and jewellery box.

There is a 1km karri trail which takes in spectacular views and provides a pleasant, easy way to pass the time while you're waiting for the next tour.

Jewel Cave has revealed many surprises over the years, including the remains of a Thylacine, which is now safely stored by the Western Australian Museum.

History
Jewel Cave wasn't properly explored until 1958 when 2 explorers, Lex Bastian and Lloyd Robinson, were brave enough to discover its depths. The following year, Jewel Cave was opened to the public and has become an iconic tourist attraction. Jewel Cave is the largest show cave in Western Australia.
