Nine Acre Rock

Nine Acre Rock is an ideal picnic ground and reserve situated fourteen kilometres south east on the Brookton-Kweda Road.

The view from this large expanse of rock is truly magnificent. Also to be seen are the remains of buildings that were the work of a Mr J Hansen of Danish descent, who became known as the 'animal doctor'. The house and stables, which are to be restored, were all built from local stone, clay and bush timber.

Wood barbecues and bush toilets are provided.
