Wagait Beach Bush Retreat is an architecturally designed fully self-contained 2-bedroom house set on a secluded block close to the picturesque beaches of Wagait Beach. Wagait Beach is the ideal holiday destination for those looking for peace and tranquility. Wagait Beach is an easy 90 minute drive on fully sealed roads from Darwin or a 15 minute ferry ride across Darwin Harbour from Cullen Bay.

Wagait Beach Bush Retreat is designed to make the most of the location and our wonderful tropical lifestyle. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is set amongst natural bushland and tropical gardens. You will see an abundance of bird life, wallabies, lizards and other native wildlife.

Wagait Beach Bush Retreat features open and relaxed easy style tropical living, 2 air conditioned bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, TV, CD and DVD player, sparkling inground pool, BBQ and BBQ kettle, laundry facilities and off street parking.

Things to do
Fishing (very popular), bird watching, explore WW2 relics, the wetlands and a myriad of bush tracks, go beach combing or just old-fashioned relaxing are some of the activities available to you at Wagait Beach. Read or snooze in the hammock, watch the sun set from the deck overlooking the pool and bushland or cool off in the pool with a coldie before lighting the BBQ to cook your catch of the day.
Location
Wagait Beach is located on Cox Peninsula on the western side of Darwin Harbour. Wagait Beach is an easy 128km drive from Darwin on fully sealed roads or just 15 minutes across the harbour if travelling by ferry. Pickups/transfers from the ferry are available on request. The local store Wagait Beach Supermarket is open 7 days 8am-8pm. They sell groceries, fresh fruit and veges, liquor, fuel, ice, bait, fishing gear, takeaway food and expresso coffee and newspapers and magazines. They have ATM and EFTPOS facilities. They also have a book exchange for your holiday reading. The Cox Country Club is open Wed-Sun evenings with light meals being served Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. Pop down for a game of pool or darts or just mingle with the locals and enjoy a couple of quiet ales.
