We are situated in the Southern Flinders Ranges, next to the Wirrabara Forest, in a scenic and quiet location. Taralee Orchards is a certified Biodynamic orchard property of 115 acres.

We have two fully self contained cottages, with large north facing verandahs, which overlook the orchard and the forest. Both have two bedrooms. Apricot Cottage can accomodate 5 people, and Ruby Cottage can accomodate 6. Both have a slow combustion wood fire for cosy winter evenings, and outdoor furniture and gas BBQ fo the warmer weather.

We are across the road from the historic 'Old Forest Nursery', the Heysen Trail passes by the property, and the Mawson Trail is nearby, so we are an ideal location for bushwalkng, cycling, walks in the forest, or simply relaxing on the verandah and enjoying the views. Families are welcome. We have a range of farm amimals, and you are welcome to join in at feeding time. We also have a high chair, porta cot, games and toys, and childrens videos and DVD's.

Further Information
Generous breakfast provisions, including homemade bread, jam and honey, farm eggs, and farm produce are available on request. Fresh fruit in season, dried fruit, jams and honey are available for purchase. The dried fruit and jams are made from the Demeter certified organic fruit grown on the property. We also have sulphur free dried fruit, produced in our recently acquired 'Solar Dryer'. This preserves the colour and flavour of the fruit without the need for preservatives. Guests are welcome to walk around the property, look at the fruit trees, vegetable gardens and livestock, ask any questions that they may have, and experience a diverse and productive organic property, where we work with nature. Bike hire is avaliable. Choice of three bikes. Pets are permitted by prior arrangement, though not inside the cottages. We are a property with livestock and free range poultry, and pets must be under the owner's control at all times.
