The Northern part of the Great Barrier Reef provides some simply magical reefs for snorkelling and diving. From mid-August to mid-October you can see Humpback whales frolicking in the warm waters off the coast. Giant sea turtles come ashore regularly to lay their eggs in the sand dunes during the nesting season from mid-November until the end of February. The area provides a glimpse into the wonders of life under the sea.

Norman Reef - is on the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. It offers divers incredible visibility and loads of under water canyons to explore. There is an abundance of sea life to get up close and personal with.

Saxon Reef - is renowned for it's Manta Rays, schools of Barracuda, Turtles and a diversity of colourful tropical fish. It really is an underwater wonderland for visitors to the area to explore.

Breaking point - This area is a forest of Staghorn coral and Black Coral Trees. Breaking point offers Diving combined with underwater scenery.

Hastings Reef - This reed is ten square kilometres of spectacular corals and exotic fish. Hastings Reef is Famous for tame it's Reef Sharks, Wally the Giant Wrasse, it's huge cod, inquisitive Moray Eels and Giant Clam Gardens. Arlington Reef - Arlington Reef is a shallow area full of soft corals, making it one of the most colourful site and is perfect for snorkelling. Along with the coral snorkellers will find an abundance of fish life and turtles. Thetford Reef - is almost 2km long and boasts scattered coral heads. Be on the look out for giant clams, butterflyfish, rabbitfish, damsels, angelfish and pipefish. There is also a series of partially closed 'swin-throughs' which send magnificent shafts of lights deep into the ocean.

Pellow Reef - is a beautiful dive site and friendly pods of dolphins are often seen in the area. Moray eels, Octopus, Bull Ray and White Tip Sharks are also regular visitors to this dive location. However the site is not just for divers, due to the variety and abundance of anemone it also makes a fantastic site for snorkellers. However; it is important to note the Pellowe has strong currents during certain times of the year so check with local dive schools before heading to the area.
