Ararat - Amphitheatre - Beaufort - Buangor - Warrak - Ararat (119km)

Depart Ararat via the Pyrenees Highway. Arrive at the township of Elmhurst. The Oasis Crystal Studio Gallery features unique hand-made Lead Crystal pieces and high quality Australia Art and Craft.

Continue along the Highway to Amphitheatre and turn south 12 km's to the Mt Lonarch areas. Visit Lonarch Berries, Lonarch Arts and Mt Lonarch Gallery, with handcrafted Bone China.

Continue south through the Ben Major Flora Reserve and join the Western Highway at the town of Beaufort. Turn right onto highway and continue 11.5 km's to turn right at the Buangor State Park sign into Ferntree Gully Road.

Continue along Ferntree Waterfalls Road. The Waterfalls Nature Walk begins at the picnic area. It is a 2 minute walk up to the base of the falls cascade but the entire walk can take up to one hour. Returning to the Western Highway and turn right and onto the township of Buangor. The Cobb & Co Changing Station and the Buangor Nursery are a great visit.

Just beyond Buangor, turn right at winery sign. This takes you (5kms) to the unique Wildefs Caravan Museum and the internationally renowned Mt Langi Ghiran Winery.

Continue on to Warrak, vistas reveal new vineyard development in the area. Return to Ararat along Warrak Road.
