Lake Callide, popular for fishing and water skiing, is just a ten minute drive from Biloela, with picnic tables and barbeque facilities. Lake Callide, also known as Callide Dam, is part of the Bass to Barra Trail, Australia's only impound freshwater sports fishing trail.
Callide Lookout has been especially constructed, and is visited via the Ian McCauley Way, with spectacular views overlooking the operations of the open cut coal mine, Callide Coalfields, the Power Stations, and Lake Callide.
