Accompanied by carefully selected wines, Vito welcomes you to come and be indulged in fine dining at its best. Located in the heart of Adelaide's premier dining precinct, Universal Wine Bar is well established and renowned for its wine selections from all over the world. Established in 1991 by Australia's first Master of Wine, Michael Hill-Smith, the original ideals for the UWB have been continued to this day. It remains the perfect spot to relax, kick back and enjoy the finest wines, beers, spirits and cocktails on offer. Stay on after dining on a Friday and Saturday nights when the Universal becomes a fabulous nightspot with cool relaxed tunes, going late into the evening.

Restaurant/Bar: The bar provides a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy good company. Located on the energetic and vibrant Rundle St, Universal Wine Bar is only minutes from the Adelaide CBD, yet the ambience is one of calmness - perfect for relaxation and focus. Updated by the new owner Vito Romano, with the focus still firmly on the overall dining experience that now includes a full bar of almost every beverage that discerning tastebuds would desire. A new private dining room for up to 16 people is available with a full a-la-carte service or a fixed menu designed to accommodate your needs.
Functions: The upstairs Function rooms at the Universal Wine Bar have been recently refurbished, and now include 2 separate rooms, which can be combined into one bigger room. The Tasting Room is the larger of the two, and caters up to 30 people for a sit down lunch or dinner and 45 people for cocktail parties. The Hill-Smith Room named for the Restaurant Founder, Michael Hill-Smith, and offers a unique private dining experience for up to 16 people. UWB is able to offer; corporate functions and seminars, private dinners, cocktail parties, birthdays and product launches. The Universal Wine Bar Team are able to: Suggest wines to complement your chosen menu, advise on the event format, music, seating and food styles and assist with any other special requests.
