The sheltered harbour at Balmaha is ideal for sailing and water-sports, with walking and hiking enthusiasts also well catered for. A little further a-field there is Balloch Castle Country Park where you can take a gentle stroll or Queen Elizabeth Forest Park which will lead you past charming loch-side villages and sandy bays. If a more strenuous walk is more your style, you need to go north to the mountains.
