The grape growing and winemaking objectives of Mount Appallan Vineyards are to combine its fertile soil and equable climate with best practice to produce quality table wines that express place in all its complexity. Winemaking is contracted to professionally qualified and experienced winemakers.

Mt Appallan Vineyards comprise nearly 8 hectares of rich volcanic soils planted to vines within 160 hectares of steeply undulating farmland. The farm was most recently used for dairying and known in the Goodchild family as "Draycot".
