Jean-Claude Restaurant is nestled on top of the Cambridge plateau at the Mallanganee look-out, 500m above sea level.

The premises enjoys cooler temperatures and permanent breezes, a welcomed relief from the Casino and Lismore summer heat. The site boasts a 180 degrees view over the green valleys and dining on the verandah is a must during warm summer months.

The food is French with a Lyon and Savoie accent on the sauces. Snails are a permanent resident on the menu... The decor is French provincial and the owners, Jean-Claude and Evelyne will greet you with a smile. It is the best food in the Northern Rivers by far.

Opening Times: Tuesday to Sunday for Lunch Tuesday to Saturdayfor Dinner Closed Sunday afternoon and Monday Kitchen opens at 12 for lunch and 7 pm for dinner
Further Information: The restaurant is BYO, if you are caught unaware, The pub in Mallanganee will supply customers with wine and beer. There is parking for buses around the fountain or 15 cars in parking slots. Accomodation can be provided at Chauvel Park, home of the light horse brigade a mere 12km away.
