A truly unique experience of searching for that elusive *Gemstone. Miner's Cottage has a New Owner Gae Guyton come and visit, buy a bucket of wash Fossick for Gemstones. Learn how to sieve, wash and what to look for. Wear Old Clothes, Hat and Sunscreen can get a bit dirty, great fun, good finds made Fossicking this way. A bucket takes an hour to sieve & wash we supply tools and guide you how to sieve & wash and assist you to know what you are looking for. We check when you have finished and help you find the ones you missed. We also separate any worth cutting for you. Groups Welcome could take 2-3 hours for the experience. On a Short stay try your luck 1 hour maybe find a nice Gemstone. The Old Miner's Cottage & Fossicking Tools are from the Early mining days. Central Queensland Gemfields are famous as one of the World's Major Sapphire Fields. Miner's Cottage is located on Left 650 metres from Rubyvale Post Office and Hotel at 65 Goanna Flats Road. Opening Times: 9am-3pm Monday - Thursday ...Closed Fridays... 9am - 3pm Saturday & Sunday No Buckets sold after 3pm There is not enough Sunlight for Fossicking after 3pm hard to pick out the Gemstones

just had the best day out at miner cottage found heaps of stones and a few cutters. great bbq lunch and service is the best and freindlyest i have come across in a long time nothing is to much and the help if you do not know what you are looking for is great all staff members want to help at the drop of a hat ...
