The foundation stone of this majestic building was laid 29th December, 1896. The Court House is a unique example of the work of that period, exhibiting masonry at its best.

The two arched entrances and doorways are a lasting memorial to Mr Trott, who was responsible for their creation.

The building continues to by the centre of justice within the Rainbow Coast area.
