The Llechwedd Slate Caverns is a Top Ten listen attraction in Wales. It is set in 2000 acres of land between Blaenau Ffestiniog & Dolwyddelan. Llechwedd. This highly educational attraction allows you to view how slate was mined and then see how it is transformed into traditional roofing slate.

The Deep mine tour drops you into amazing caverns on Britain's steepest passenger railway and the Miners Tramway tour enters through the side of the mountain on a battery-electric locomotive; displaying the early Victorian past remains on the level, and traverses some spectacular caverns.
