Located just a short 5 to 10 minute drive north of Mackay city center, Harbour Beach is the locals favourite patrolled beach offering the ideal spot for picnics, fishing and swimming.
Beach facilities include BBQ, parking for the disabled, kiosk, picnic area, public toilet, and shaded and sheltered areas.
The Harbour Beach area is renowned with locals for good jew, mackerel, trevally, bream and tuna fishing. Nearby the Harbour is Mulherin Park, a shady retreat with barbecues, picnic tables, public toilets and children's play area.
