Details

Location: Corinna lies 60km north of Strahan and 70km west of Cradle Mountain on the banks of the majestic Pieman River. If you are travelling from these locations you will journey across the Pieman River to Corinna on the famous Fatman barge, the only one still in operation in Tasmania. From the south your journey will bring you along the all white silica Western Explorer touring route, this trip is a must for visitors to Tasmania. This trip will take about 3 1/2 hrs from Stanley. Please respect the native wildlife and dont travel between dusk and dawn.
Further Information: Limited camp sites are also available and booking is advised. Corinna Wilderness Experience provide adventure tours including canoeing experiences on the Savage River, The Pieman River Cruise, fishing and walking trails including the Whyte River walk and Huon Pine walk.
