The Duke of Edinburgh is a grand old building, built in 1871 and at this time the hotel was the most prestigious and illustrious hotel in South Cumbria attracting visitors from all over the globe.

The accommodation is unique to Barrow in Furness offering stylishly appointed, en-suite rooms with flat screen televisions and over sized beds. The all new Regent's Function Suite is contemporary, chic and comfortable - the perfect place for any social or work event.

Our prices are always by the room (not per person) and include our a la carte breakfast.

Conference Facilities: Our Regent's Suite offers a stylish bar, dining area and dance floor. It is a flexible area and can accommodate weddings, birthday parties, Christenings and business events. The suite can dine approximately 80 people and hold a maximum of 250 (diners and drinkers) in comfort.

I was one of the first people to stay at the hotel. Opened, I think, on the 21st September 2007. This has gone from grotty hole to spectacular hotel in the space of a year.
