Merioneth Yacht Club was formed in 1937 for the purpose of promoting small boat sailing and racing in and around the Mawddach Estuary. The club is located in Barmouth providing access to Cardigan Bay.
There are monthly social events , a very strong racing program and an enthusiastic Celtic Longboat rowing section. The Club House bar provides what is described as one of the most beautiful views in Wales, where the mountains come down to the sea and with the added pleasure of a cool beer or glass of wine to enjoy it by.
