The Valley Markets are best known for their original, locally designed and made creations. The city's young and very talented designers use these markets as an outlet for their chic designs. The all weekend event runs through both Brunswick Street and Chinatown Mall's, offering over 70 stalls of new and second hand goods.

The Valley Markets are a firm favourite for vintage and local designer apparel and much more. Chinatown's contribution reflects Asian kitsch, clothing and world religious icons. Massages are also for sales as well as the occasional fortune reading.

One of Brisbanes biggest exports, fashionistas Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, known for their label Sass & Bide, started selling their wares at the Valley Markets before hitting it big in London.

A trip to the Valley markets is not complete without experiencing the yum-cha, cafes and eatery along the malls, a pre and post shopping draw card.
