Reef HQ is the world's largest living coral reef aquarium and national reef education centre for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. It is the only coral reef aquarium on the Queensland coast for visitors to experience the reef from a fish-eye-view.

Both a tourist attraction and an educational facility, Reef HQ boasts a range of displays and exhibits designed to stimulate visitors' curiosity so they learn about the Great Barrier Reef and leave eager to know more.

The windows reveal thousands of incredible fish and reef creatures. The 20 metre long acrylic walk-through tunnel allows excellent viewing into the 750,000 litre predator exhibit.

New to Reef HQ is North QLD's first Turtle rehabilitation Centre,tour to turtle centre is at 12pm and 4pm daily this tour along with all other talks and tours are included in the cost of admission.

Reef HQ is your opportunity to visit the Great Barrier Reef without getting wet, sunburnt or seasick.

Weddings: With shimmering tropical fish, eerie predators and stunning live coral reef galleries as a backdrop, the award-winning Reef HQ Aquarium is a unique and versatile special events venue. We believe our venue and service will exceed your expectations and assure you of a successful event. Reef HQ Aquarium is a unique and memorable venue for cocktail functions and can comfortably accommodate up to 250 people for this style of event. For an intimate dinner, the aquarium can seat up to 120 people comfortably. In addition, dedicated Reef HQ volunteers are available to provide interpretive tours of the centre during functions at no additional charge.
Getting There: Sunbus Redbus drops off right at front. 10 minutes drive from airport.
